STRING THEORY

In simple words we can say that Point like physics particles are replaced by 1D (One Dimensional) Strings. STRING THEORY describes how these particles propagate through space and intersect with each other.

1.       It was first studied in 1960s as a THEORY of Strong NUCLEAR FORCE

2.       Subsequently it was realized that properties of the theory were unsuitable for nuclear rather were an appealing candidate for ‘Quantum Theory of Gravity’. This is the reason why String Theory is also known as Quantum Theory of Gravity

3.       Quantum is the smallest quantity of energy that can be absorbed or emitted by a body/ object in the form of Electromagnetic Radiation
